미국 동부 주요 공항의 항공편이 통신 회선 장애로 중단됐다.

주 통신 회선 장애와 백업 광케이블의 절단이 동시에 발생하면서 FAA는 미국 동부 주요 공항으로 향하는 항공편을 중단했다. FlightAware에 따르면, 5,600편 이상의 항공편이 지연되거나 취소되었고, 100편 이상의 항공편이 다른 공항으로 회항했다.

Major flights in the eastern US were halted due to communication line failures.

A combination of primary communication line failures and the cutting of backup fiber optic cables resulted in the FAA halting flights to major airports in the eastern US. According to FlightAware, over 5,600 flights were delayed or canceled, with more than 100 flights being diverted to other airports.
