영국에서는 'Advanced Data Protection(ADP)' 기능이 도입되면서, 고객의 기기와 iCloud 서비스에 따라 데이터 보호 수준이 달라질 수 있다. 특히, 2025년 2월에 신규 활성화 중단 전에 ADP 기능을 켠 고객에 대해서만 더욱 강화된 데이터 보호가 제공된다. 또한, 영국 정부는 Apple에게 ADP로 암호화된 데이터에 접근할 기술적 능력을 요구하고 있다.

In the UK, the 'Advanced Data Protection (ADP)' feature introduces differing levels of data protection for customers using the same devices and iCloud services. Before the new activation cessation in February 2025, only customers who enable the ADP feature will benefit from enhanced data protection. Additionally, the UK government has demanded Apple to provide technical means to access data encrypted under ADP.
