Andy Pavlo, who has researched modern DBMS architectures at Carnegie Mellon University, has joined ClickHouse. He will lead the establishment of ClickHouse Labs, a research organization focused on database technologies. The lab aims to collaborate with engineers, customers, and industry partners, rather than simply handing over research findings to engineering teams.
