Apple has addressed a security vulnerability in its Hide My Email service that allowed users' real email addresses to be exposed. This flaw undermined the privacy guarantees provided by the feature. The fix was implemented on July 3, 2026, after being reported to Apple by Tyler Murphy, co-founder of EasyOptOuts.
