China-Linked Hackers Deploy New StormEncryptor Ransomware, Likely via N-central Flaw

마이크로소프트는 중국과 연관된 재정적 동기를 가진 해커 그룹 Storm-1175가 새로운 랜섬웨어인 StormEncryptor를 배포했다고 밝혔습니다. 이 랜섬웨어는 C++로 작성되었으며 파일 이름에 .encrypted 확장자를 추가합니다. StormEncryptor는 이전에 사용된 Medusa 랜섬웨어에서의 변화로 나타납니다.

Microsoft disclosed that Storm-1175, a financially motivated threat actor linked to China, has deployed a new ransomware strain called StormEncryptor. This marks a shift from the adversary's previous use of Medusa ransomware. StormEncryptor is written in C++ and appends the file name extension .encrypted.
