The EML function has recently gained attention online as a method for representing all elementary functions through composition. This paper proves a universal approximation theorem for EML(-type) trees. It demonstrates that EML trees can approximate polynomials and other functions, while addressing certain technical difficulties. Additionally, the original EML function is generalized by adding learnable parameters.
