South Korean authorities and security firms have revealed a state-sponsored attack that compromised trusted local websites. Attackers exploited these sites to infect users' computers with SIGNBT or COPPERHEDGE backdoors by targeting a vulnerable version of AnySign4PC. A compromised page could infect systems without prompting users.
