Cybersecurity researchers have discovered GoSerpent, a new malware that has been used in cyber attacks against government and diplomatic entities in Southeast Asia since late 2025. Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky uncovered this activity in February 2026. The malware focuses on long-term access and intelligence gathering.
