메릴랜드의 공공서비스 위원회(OPC)는 PJM의 비용 배분 계획에 대해 FERC에 민원을 제기했다. PJM은 데이터센터 수요에 대응하기 위해 220억 달러를 사용하고 메릴랜드에 20억 달러를 부과하려고 하고 있다. 이로 인해 메릴랜드 소비자들은 향후 10년간 16억 달러의 추가 비용을 지불해야 할 것으로 보인다.

The Maryland Office of People's Counsel (OPC) has filed a complaint with FERC regarding PJM's cost allocation plan. PJM intends to spend $22 billion to address data center demands and charge Maryland $2 billion. This could result in an additional $1.6 billion cost burden on Maryland consumers over the next decade.
