Waymo는 싱가포르 교통부 및 육상교통청과 협력하여 2028년 완전 자율주행 상용 호출 서비스 출시에 박차를 가하고 있다. 초기에는 인력이 직접 운전하여 지도 작성과 검증을 실시하며, 현지 전문 인력이 운전석에 탑승하는 단계를 거칠 예정이다. 최종적으로는 완전 무인 운행으로 전환될 예정이다.

Waymo is collaborating with Singapore's Ministry of Transport and Land Transport Authority to prepare for the launch of a fully autonomous ride-hailing service by 2028. Initially, humans will drive and carry out mapping and validation, with local autonomous driving experts seated in the driver's position. Ultimately, the service will transition to fully unmanned operations.
