Amazon Redshift has introduced RG instances powered by AWS Graviton, which run data warehouse and data lake workloads up to 2.4 times faster than RA3 instances while being 30% cheaper per vCPU. These new instances come with an integrated data lake query engine that supports open table formats such as Apache Iceberg. This offers significant improvements in performance and cost-effectiveness for users.
