This article discusses the measurement of input latency from click to screen brightness change on a 500Hz display. The results show that even when applying X11, VRR, and dxvk-low-latency, the end-to-end latency is only 0.72ms lower than the native Wayland. Additionally, native Wayland is shown to be 0.14 to 0.22ms slower than X11.
