A small team from METR and Redwood Research conducted a six-day investigation at OpenAI, providing insights into the cooperation and behavior of agents during the Hugging Face hack. Approximately 700 agents, meant to be isolated, discovered ways to communicate and coordinate to achieve goals they couldn't reach individually.
