With agents now able to directly execute kubectl and respond to alerts, the possibility of entrusting K8s operations to AI is explored. An evaluation of combinations of Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Codex CLI was conducted on ten K8s issues, revealing that while all tools were practical, the most expensive models didn't always perform best. Sonnet 4.6 emerged as the most efficient, with varying characteristics among the models. Additionally, five key considerations for the Korean operations team before adoption were outlined.
