Europe is pushing back against Washington's chip war.
ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet mentioned that China is currently limited to purchasing older-generation deep ultraviolet tools, which were first shipped about a decade ago. The MATCH Act seeks to restrict these machines further. Europe is thus resisting the implications of this chip war initiated by Washington.
